It's time to start this again...

It's been a year and a half since I've blogged something. Life = Busy, but what can you do?

So I think there's no better way to do this than to talk about the newest game I've been playing on Bigfish.com. It's called Big Fish Slots, and it's pretty much a way to make a boatload of tokens (that you really don't use for anything) in about a twenty minute game. There are different oceans (the equivalent of a room) you can choose to play in and each of those oceans contain the same five teams: Dogfish, Catfish, Clownfish, Dolphins, and Mermaids. You get to choose what team you want to play on and off you go. It's great because you get to simultaneously compete against (or work with) players from all over the world. The team with the highest average score gets 250 tokens for every member on the team. The main point of the game is to become the "Big Fish" by finishing in first place and you are rewarded between 20,000 - 250,000 tokens depending on how many players are in your ocean. The game is based almost entirely on the luck and how well you can play mini games similar to battleship, pachinko, and Match 3. The game is quite addicting :)

Round One - Go Fish

Battleship with sea creatures. This is my favorite one of the three rounds even though it's the hardest one. You can see a little bit of the starfish and the seahorse on the left side of the bubble they are hidden behind and little bit of the eel on the right side of the bubble. Finding the school of fish is not fun because it's pure luck - they are in an 'L' formation that is not always facing the same way each time like the other sea creatures. The puffer fish is the best slot you can get because it zooms around the board popping a ton of a bubbles. Or it decides to be stupid and then goes the way you don't want it to. You get a token bonus for every time you clear a board.

Round Two - Fishfood

It's a form of Match 3....kind of. Match three or more fish in a vertical or horizontal direction. Red fish can eat anything, green can only eat blue, and blue can only eat worms. The more chains you can form, the more tokens you will get. So if you get 12 fish to match at the same time, you get 24 tokens per fish giving you 288 tokens. Not bad.

Round Three - Fishinko
By the way, the names of each of the rounds are very unique.
Basically you launch pearls into the tank and hitting the sea items (75 tokens each) and landing them in the oysters (25 tokens each). The golden pearl multiplies the payout of hitting something by three. If you fill all five oysters, you get a bonus for it and they all open up again for you to be able to get more points.
